Prayer of Worship

We need to take time out of our busy lives to minister to God for who He is.

Acts 13:1-4
vs 2 "...As they ministered to the Lord..."

Minister To The Lord
Prayse Him
Tell Him How Much We Love Him
Thank Him For His Goodness and Mercy

Acts 16:22-25 - vs 25 ....."Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises to God..."

A Song In Battle - I Chronicles 10:15, 17-19, 21, 22
vs 21..."They marched and chanted, "Praise The Lord; for His Mercy Endureth Forever".

Prayer of Consecration

Luke 22:42
"Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done."

Jesus wanted to do what the Father wanted Him to do.

When we consecrate our lives for God's use, to go anywhere and do anything He wants us to do, we pray this kind of prayer, the Prayer of Consecration.

In a prayer of consecration and dedication, we pray, "If it be thy will."

IMPORTANT: This type of prayer is for consecration and dedication...if it be thy will.

Prayer of Petition

This type of prayer is the most frequent prayer we pray. We petition God in the name of Jesus for our daily needs. Guess What!!! It is scriptural because He told us in Matthew 21:22, "...Ask in prayer, believing".

Mark 11:24 - "Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them."

6 Most Important Things In Prayer

1. Pray to the Father in the name of Jesus [John 16:23-24]

2. Believe You Receive [Mark 11:24] "Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them."

When we ask the same thing over and over again, we don't believe we received it the first time we asked.

3. Forgive When You Pray [Mark 25-26] Prayer will not work in an unforgiving heart.

4. Depend Upon The Holy Spirit Spirit In Our Prayer Life -

Romans 8:26-27 - "26Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

I Corinthians 14:14-15 - "14 For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. 15 What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.

When we pray in tongues, it is our spirit praying by the Holy Spirit within us.

Paul said the Holy Spirit would help us in our prayer life.

When we allow Him to pray through us - to help us in our prayer life - we will see amazing answers to our prayers!

5. Prayer The Prayer of Intercessions - Romans 8:26 - "26Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself [Himself] maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered."

This intercession can be for someone's SALVATION, HEALING, ETC.

6. Edify Yourself by Praying in the Holy Spirit - Jude 20 - "But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost," - I Corinthians 14:4 - "He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church."

Praying The Prayer of Agreement

There is tremendous power as two or more agree in prayer concerning anything we may need.

JESUS PROMISE CONCERNING THE PRAYER OF AGREEMENT

Matthew 18:18-20:
"18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. 19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."

Prayers That Unlocks Heaven - The Name of Jesus

John 16:23-24
23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. 24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

If we want to be sure our prayers reach the Throne of God, we must come according to the rules laid down in His Word.

Prayers should be addressed to the Father in Jesus' Name.

Jesus gave us authority to use His name.

When we come according to God's Word, our prayers CANNOT FAIL.

7 Steps To Answered Prayers

  1. Decide what you want from God and be definite about it.
6But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. 7For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. 8A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. James 1:6-8
  2. Read Scriptures That Promise The Answer. In order to be successful in our prayer life, God’s Word must be foremost
8This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Joshua 1:8
  3. Ask god for the Things You Want
7Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. Matthew 7:7-8
  4. Believe That You Receive
23For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 24Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
  5. Refuse To Doubt – Govern Our Thoughts; Particularly Evil and Doubtful Thoughts
8Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Philippians 4:8
  6. Meditate On The Promises – We have to see ourselves with the ANSWER!!
20My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. 21Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. 22For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Proverbs 4:20-22
  7. Give God The Praise
6Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. Philippians 4:6
Thank god for the answer after we have prayed. Thinking faith thoughts are speaking faith words lead the heart out of defeat into victory!
DO NOT ACCEPT DEFEAT
Remind God that we asked for it and what His Word says, and tell Him you are expecting it. Than thank Him for it.
